Lance Horne - First Things Last

A host of West End stars will team up to create a unique evening of entertainment at the Garrick Theatre this month as Alan Cumming, Hannah Waddingham and Emma Williams join Lance Horne for a celebration of his debut album “First Things Last”. It is one of many one-off West End concerts appearing in 2011, though this has a lot going for it thanks not only to its high profile Cast of performers, but also thanks to the acclaimed work of Lance Horne, the well known composer whose debut album is held in great anticipation.

After all, with a career that has spanned the stage and television on both sides of the Atlantic, plus various West End credits, he has found high praise. He appeared in the London Hippodrome production of “La Clique” and also presented one-man shows in the forms of “Notes Unleashed! The Music of Lance Horne”, which appeared at the Vaudeville Theatre back in 2009. The latter has something in common with “First Things Last” at the Garrick as it also featured Alan Cumming as part of the line-up.

But then, Horne and Cumming have both worked together on a number of occasions, with the former producing the latter’s own debut album “I Bought a Blue Car Today”. Like Horne, he also presented the album as a West End show, whilst his other West End credits include “Accidental Death of an Anarchist”. However, for most audiences, he is best known for his film and television work, which encompasses high profile projects like the James Bond movie “Goldeneye”, the X-Men sequel “X-2”, “Nicholas Nickleby” and 2011’s movie adaptation “The Smurfs”.

Hannah Waddingham, on the other hand, is best known for her London theatre work, which will see her return to the West End in 2011 as she takes on a high profile role in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Wizard Of Oz. Then there is Emma Williams, who can currently be seen in the Duchess Theatre production of Love Story. They all appear alongside other performers like Mew Meow (from “La Clique”), Paul Spicer, Julie Atherton and Norm Lewis.

So make sure you witness the performers talents of some well known West End stars as “Lance Horne: First Things Last” appears at the Garrick Theatre on Sunday 30th January 2011.
