Mamma Mia stars Katie Brayben in the lead role of Sophie and Linzi Hateley as Sophie’s mother, Donna. The three men from Donna’s past – Sam, Harry and Bill are played by Richard Laing, Paul Ryan and Andrew Hall respectively. One of these three men is Sophie’s father but which one is it? Set on a Greek island, Sophie is due to get married but who is Sophie’s natural father? Who will be there to give her away?
This highly visual musical features stunning choreography, a hilarious and yet deeply emotional storyline and of course, a magical score. Who can forget such hit songs as ‘Dancing Queen’, ‘Super Trouper’ and of course ‘Mamma Mia’. With these songs and many more it you will be saying ‘thank you for the music’.
Mamma Mia tells the story love, laughter, friendship and memories. It is set on a magical Greek island and is centred upon the forthcoming wedding of Sophie Sheridan, daughter of Donna Sheridan. Sophie is due to marry Sky and is having a big white wedding. She naturally wants her father to give her away but just who is her real father?
So, Sophie sets out to discover who her natural father is. She looks in her mother’s diary and sees the names of three men, from her mother’s past, who last visited the island 20 years ago. She says nothing to her mother but decides to invite to invite these three mystery figures to her wedding.
The three men – Harry, Sam and Bill all appear at Sophie’s wedding and then engage in a series of awkward yet hilarious scenes between themselves and Donna and Sophie.
