Audiences have had plenty of opportunities to witness Meow Meow in the West End in recent years. The cabaret star has made quite an impression on audiences as she has made her way to the stage as part of variety acts and in high profile dramas, whilst also making an impression other stages beyond the capital as well. So her latest appearance is certainly going to drum up considerable attention, particularly as it is a brief chance to witness the talented performer appear in her very own show under the title “Meow Meow in Concert”. It arrives at the Apollo Theatre in June 2011.

Meow Meow has quite a track record, with audiences worldwide praising her work regularly. She is best known to audiences in the West End for her appearances in “La Clique” at the London Hippodrome and its follow up “La Soiree” which recently appeared at the South Bank Big Top. Those that associate her with those productions may have also been surprised to see her cast in the high profile drama “The Umbrellas of Cherbourg”, which appeared at the Gielgud Theatre until the end of May, whilst other credits include “Meow Meow Beyond Glamour: The Absinthe Tour” at the Soho Theatre, “Feline Intimate” at the 2010 Edinburgh International Festival and appearances on Broadway.

Her solo productions have earned her plenty of acclaim over the years and she has worked alongside some well known names as a result. She also has an album emerging in 2011 under the title “Here Kitty Kitty …The Lost sessions with Pink Martini’s Thomas M Lauderdale” and it shows that she continues to be in great demand. In particular London theatre audiences are likely to relish in her distinctive style, which continues to find an abundance of fans.

“Meow Meow in Concert” is only appearing in the West End for three nights so audiences will have to be quick to get hold of Theatre Tickets and witness the acclaimed act first hand. It follows the successful run of “Blithe Spirit” at the venue, which featured direction from the equally-acclaimed Thea Sharrock.

“Meow Meow in Concert” runs at the Apollo Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue for three performances from Thursday 23rd June 2011 to Saturday 25th June 2011.
