The classic opera from Giuseppe Verdi – “Simon Boccanegra” – makes a proud appearance at the London Coliseum under the watch of the prestigious English National Opera. It is one of the most renowned shows from the back catalogue of Verdi and will be the latest time in which the opera has appeared onstage ever since it premiered back in the 1850s. So for those wishing to pick up opera tickets in the capital, “Simon Boccanegra” has a lot to offer when it opens at the venue in June 2011.
The story contains plenty of drama with the title character taking the form of a former politician (now a soldier) as grievances in private, plus feuds out in public rise to the surface whilst a civil war rages on in the background. “Simon Boccanegra” arrives on the stage of the Coliseum under the direction on Dmitri Tcherniakov whilst Bruno Capron takes on the role of Simon Boccanegra and demonstrates his baritone voice to its most impressive.
“Simon Boccanegra” appears at the London Coliseum from Wednesday 8th June 2011 to Saturday 9th July 2011.
