Strictly Come Dancing - The Professionals

The “Strictly Come Dancing” phenomenon traverses new heights in 2010 with “The Professionals” – a tour that sees the world renowned dancers from the television series take to the road and perform to their heart’s desire. It is the first time this dance spectacular has taken place and from July 2010 the magic will land at the HMV Apollo in the heart of Hammersmith.

The show is a celebration of a format that has remained popular after seven years, launching back in 2004 with Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly in front of the cameras and a league of celebrities teaming with dance professionals to compete for a place in the final. The format has been sold to many countries around the world, demonstrating the wide appeal of the show and with the 2009 series as popular as ever, this is a television phenomenon that is showing no signs of disappearing any time soon.

The latest series also introduced some new faces to the line up, with Aliona Vilani and Natalie Lowe joining the host of talented professional dancers who would be leading the celebrity competitors to victory. Both of them now join Flavia Cacace, Matthew Cutler, Brian Fortuna,Ola and James Jordan, Kristina Rihanoff, Vincent Simone and Ian Waite for the live show, ready to demonstrate to fans that they have what it takes.

Aliona Vilani is a Russian dancer who has been dancing regularly as a teacher and performer in Los Angeles since 2006. She joined “Strictly Come Dancing” for the latest series in 2009, being partnered with Ray Wilding and staying in the competition until week 3. But her experience with the series does not end there; in 2010 she also hit the road for the “Strictly Come Dancing” tour in which she teamed up with Ricky Groves to wow the judges once again.

Meanwhile, Natalie Lowe is an Australian dancer who had already gained experience with the Australian version of the show since 2004 when she appeared in “Dancing with the Stars”, competing alongside Tim Campbell from “Home and Away” and Australian football star Anthony Koutoufides. Her team up with the latter led to her winning the 2006 series of the competition.

She joined “Strictly Come Dancing” in 2009, appearing alongside Ricky Whittle from “Hollyoaks”, eventually finishing second in the competition.

In Strictly Come Dancing – The Professionals we will witness these stars take on the spectacular dances from the series, as well as some exclusive work strictly for the stage. It should not be missed.
