Traces
Having wowed London theatre audiences with their current show for the first time in 2009, Les 7 Doigts de la Main return to the Peacock Theatre once again for another spectacular showcase from September to October 2010. It means that theatregoers can arms themselves with theatre tickets once again and ensure that they will witness an array of talented circus performers take to the stage and showcase their breathtaking show entitled “Traces”. And just like 2009, 2010 will inevitably see plenty of eager audience members dazzle in the spectacle.
Les 7 Doigts de la Main translates to The 7 Fingers of the Hand and their show “Traces”, whilst first seen by London audiences in 2009, was originally seen at the Edinburgh Festival back in 2007. Like many shows to appear at the biggest arts festival in the world, it would eventually be seen by theatregoers outside of the Scottish capital and so would begin its journey to success. Not only did the audiences react well, the critics were also impressed, with reviewers from the press piling praise on it and declaring it an unmissable event.
But “Traces” is not just about wowing audiences with unconnected pieces of circus aerobics; the team of Les 7 Doigts de la Main have ensured that the elements are connected as the lives of the performers are explored onstage, offering a unique dynamic to the proceedings that is likely to provide a compelling experience for the crowd. And whilst the circus aerobics will be there to entertain, the show will also feature film clips, music and some narration so that all of the senses are thrilled by the events onstage.
The team set to take to the stage is made of French-Canadian performers such as Raphael Cruz, Francisco Cruz, Brad Henderson and Will Underwood. With many years of circus skills already behind them, they are once again expected to put on a breathtaking spectacle.
But then, audiences could not expect any less from Les 7 Doigts de la Main and with other dance shows appearing at the Sadler’s Wells, such as the Christmas special The Snowman, it has stiff competition. But “Traces”, just like shows that have come before it like “LOFT”, is likely to attract a large audience to the Peacock Theatre in September and October 2010.
Traces runs at the Peacock Theatre from Tuesday 28th September 2010 to Saturday 30th October 2010.
