Belongings

Those who have picked up Theatre Tickets and headed to the Hampstead Downstairs Theatre recently may already have witnessed the latest offering at Trafalgar Studio 2. “Belongings” is set to transfer to the West End venue in June 2011 where it will offer a wider range of audiences an opportunity to witness the compelling and thought-provoking story of a young soldier’s return to home following combat in Afghanistan.

The production will retain the cast of actors that appeared onstage in Hampstead and they take the forms of Kirsty Bushell, Calum Callaghan, Ian Bailey and Joanna Horton, with Maria Aberg as director.

Kirsty Bushell has various previous credits to her name, including the relatively recent production of “An Inspector Calls”, which appeared at the West End’s Novello Theatre. Her other credits include “Danton’s Death” at The National Theatre, in addition to television shows like “Midsomer Murders” and “Holby City”.

“Belongings” sees the mentioned soldier return to her home as she faces tension in the family and the past coming back to haunt her in the form of an old flame. Ultimately she must work out where she fits into it all and where in the world she can call her home.

“Belongings” runs at Trafalgar Studios 2 from Tuesday 21st June 2011 (previews from Thursday 16th June 2011) until Saturday 9th July 2011.
