The Charing Cross Theatre in London regularly welcomes some interesting and memorable shows and this rings true for the upcoming production of “Fascinating Aïda: Cheap Flights”, which is arriving at the venue in December and promises plenty of laughs and an entertaining night. The cabaret comedy team have been seen on stages across the country over the years and in that time they have accumulated a wealth of fans that will be happy to witness their return to a London theatre and with that in mind their award-winning antics will keep audiences happy for many years to come.
“Fascinating Aïda” is a comedy trio currently consisting of Dillie Keane, Adele Anderson and Sarah-Louise Young and they have been together for many decades, with various retirements during their time in the spotlight and line-up changes as well. They have been the recipients of numerous award nominations, from the prestigious Laurence Olivier Awards to the Perrier Awards at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, meaning they have appeared on stages from London (Vaudeville Theatre, Apollo Theatre etc) to Edinburgh. Meanwhile, their time in the spotlight has also seen them make numerous television appearances as well, giving them an abundance of fans across the country.
Dillie Keane is an actress and singer and whilst she is best known for her work with “Fascinating Aïda” she has also contributed solo work to the spotlight as well. Her solo credits include “Single Again” in Edinburgh and “Back with You” on tour, as well as appearances in the likes of “The Truth About Women” and “Pie in the Sky”.
Meanwhile, Adele Anderson has also appeared in numerous shows outside of “Fascinating Aïda”. Her credits include “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas” at the Landor Theatre, “Nine” at the Royal Festival Hall and “Tales My Lover Told Me” at the King’s Head Theatre, among others.
The line-up is also completed by Sarah Louise Young, who joined the trio in 2011.
The production arrives at the Charing Cross Theatre following an appearance of “Confessions Of A Mormon Boy” by Steven Fales in September. Its anticipated appearance takes it from Monday 5th December 2011 to Saturday 7th January 2012.
