Every Christmas audiences headed to the West End gear up to witness some seasonal treats from some of the best known theatres in the capital. Whether it is “The Snowman” at the Peacock Theatre or the annual appearance of favourite “The Gruffalo”, kids have plenty to look forward to when December rolls around and in 2011 this will be no different as “Santa Claus and the Christmas Adventure” opens its doors at the Ambassador’s Theatre. Suitable for anyone between the ages of 2 and 8 years of age and with Paul Daniels providing illusions it is certain to be a memorable theatre experience.
“Santa Claus and the Christmas Adventure” will be a unique show in the West End and will require children to help Santa out as he tackles a serious problem during the holiday season. After all, on the night before Christmas Santa has his work cut out for him and this year, with the Reindeer Sat Nav programmed in and all of the toys ready to deliver, Santa must face a missing Rudolph and an array of Elves misbehaving. How is he ever going to deliver this year’s presents if he doesn’t sort this out on time?
And this festive treat features a familiar face in Paul Daniels, the well known magician who appeared on television screens regularly during the 1980s and 1990s. Daniels has appeared in programmes such as “The Wheeltappers and Shunters Social Club”, “The Paul Daniels Magic Show”, “Wipeout”, “Odd One Out, Every Second Counts” and “Strictly Come Dancing”. Meanwhile, he has also appeared in a wealth of stage shows, from “It’s Magic” at the Prince of Wales Theatre in 1980 to “Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow” at the 2011 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, in addition to numerous pantomimes and guest appearances.
So audiences picking up Theatre Tickets to witness “Santa Claus and the Christmas Adventure” are certainly in for a festive treat when it opens its doors at the Ambassador’s Theatre, where it will share the stage with the ongoing production of “Stomp!”, which takes to the stage in the evenings.
“Santa Claus and the Christmas Adventure” appears at the Ambassador’s Theatre from Tuesday 29th November 2011 to Saturday 31st December 2011.
