The Peacock Theatre – the West End outlet of Sadler’s Wells – will soon be welcoming a stand-out show in the form of “The Houdini Experience” from February 2012. This is not only because the show promises to be breathtaking and unforgettable but also because it will feature the famous illusionist Hans Klok, who has wowed audiences on international stages. For more than a month the stage will be set for the Dutch performer to create an instantly awe-inspiring experience at the Peacock Theatre, utilising a range of disciplines to wow the senses.
Hans Klok has been seen on stages all over the world and is well known for his performances in Las Vegas, where he recently performed alongside Pamela Anderson, and this means that audiences around the globe are familiar with his work. In addition to his Vegas work - itself seen by tens of millions of people – he has also appeared during the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup in Germany, 2006, and appeared in movies such as “De D van dag”. Prior to “The Houdini Experience” his live shows have included “The Beauty of Magic” and “Hurricane”.
For “The Houdini Experience”, Klok has a lot up his sleeves as the amazing show features numerous memorable moments including circus acts, variety acts, wizardry and even breathtaking stunts. So it is no wonder that London theatre audiences are hotly anticipating this show and when it opens in February it is likely that few audiences will want to miss out on what will be one of the shows of the year.
And it all comes to the Peacock Theatre, which is found on Portugal Street in London and regularly welcomes some of the best known international acts as part of the West End arm of Sadler’s Wells, the home of contemporary dance in London. Over the years some of the best known names on the international dance scene have found their way to the venue and this is something that is likely to continue well into the future.
“The Houdini Experience” is at the Peacock Theatre from Thursday 23rd February 2012 to Sunday 25th March 2012.
