Athlete Tickets

Then there’s Athlete, who have proven themselves as a highly sought-after band by bagging awards and nominations for their work, whilst also managing to build up a fan base through the release of high quality albums and singles. Since the first half of the last decade they have continued to find an audience and as a result, any new shows that they announce are likely to be met with great enthusiasm from their fans, who will flock to pick up music tickets before it is too late.

Athlete are made up of Joel Pott as singer and guitarist alongside Carey Willets as bass guitarist, Tim Wanstell as keyboardist and Stephen Roberts as drummer. Together they have managed to impress audiences with songs that have arrived in the charts regularly from 2002 to the modern day. Ranging from “You Got the Style”, “El Salvador” and “Wires” to “Tokyo”, “Superhuman Touch” and “Black Swan Song”, they have demonstrated an ability to maintain their presence whilst also going through the necessary highs and lows of being in a rock band.

And this is also demonstrated by their studio albums, which have been even more popular that their singles, in some cases working their way right to the top of the charts. Their debut, “Vehicles and Animals” in 2003, would eventually find an abundance of fans and paved the way for the follow-up “Tourist” to be hugely successful in 2005. Then, in the second half of the last decade they would go on to keep their fans happy with further albums like “Beyond the Neighbourhood” in 2007 and “Black Swan” in 2009. So whilst there are bands like Doves and Travis also operating out there for audiences to enjoy, Athlete have managed to carve a path of their own.

But it is live onstage that they truly shine and Athlete manage to prove that they have some great skills, with songs such as “Half Light” and more sounding better in a live setting than they do even on CD. After all, nothing quite beats hearing the band themselves performing their hit songs live, with concert tickets offering this experience the moment that they go on sale.
