So when he returns to the stage to keep his followers in the United Kingdom happy, it is likely that they will be out in full force snapping up concert tickets to relish in a stand-out performance.

His full name is Loudon Snowden Wainwright III and those that recognise his last name will not be surprised to know that he is the father of both Martha Wainwright and Rufus Wainwright, both of whom have accumulated their own fans over the years. But Loudon has managed to earn a career that now stretches four decades, from “Dead Skunk (in the Middle of the Road)” to other tracks like “Needless to Say”, “”Unhappy Anniversary”, “Jessie Don’t Like It” and “Nanny”, amongst others. Some of his work has demonstrated a distinct comic style, which he has also brought to the screen in movies and television shows during his career, only heightening his reputation further.

And then there are his studio albums, which saw him emerge with his debut “Loudon Wainwright III” in 1970, laying down the foundations for a career that saw him perform everywhere and appear onscreen. He soon followed it up with “Album II” in 1971 and “Album III” in 1972, before going to release the likes of “Attempted Mustache” in 1973, “Fame and Wealth” in 1983, “Grown Man” in 1995, “Recovery” in 2008 and “High Wide & Handsome: The Charlie Poole Project” in 2009. So it is no wonder that folk tickets sell out fast when Loudon Wainwright is in town.

After all, they provide audiences with a stand-out show as he takes to the stage and performs songs that have been cherished for generations. His career has spanned many decades and he has also provided the world with further acclaimed artists to enjoy and as a result, Loudon Wainwright will be remembered well into the future.
