For over a decade they have been working on music that pushes the envelope and regularly offers something new and exciting for their fans. The result has been a series of studio albums that sound different each time, whilst still retaining a mixture of epic musical landscapes and loud jagged riffs. So as they go on the road once again, ready to put on explosive live shows for their audience, concert tickets will be in high demand.
Oceansize have come a long way since they first formed at the end of the 1990s, progressively moving their style onwards and honing it into something that is critically acclaimed with each new release. Their first album took the form of 2003’s “Effloresce”, which immediately had reviewers united in praise. Then they continued this as the decade moved on, following it with the equally impressive albums “Everyone into Position” in 2005, “Frames” in 2007 and “Self-Preserved While the Bodies Float Up” in 2010. So members Mike Vennart, Steve Durose, Gambler, Steve Hodgson and Mark Heron have ensured that their rock tickets are well worth the money.
There are few bands that compare to Oceansize, though there are many associated acts, from Biffy Clyro and Amplifier to And So I Watch You From Afar and Pure Reason Revolution. It is a testament to their ability that even those that sound the most like them are still miles away from the sound found on songs like “Catalyst”, “Heaven Alive”, “Unfamiliar” or “SuperImposer”. So expect Oceansize to remain at the forefront of British music for some time to come.
