The result has been people flocking to witness them take to the stage on the back of studio albums and singles and whilst they have announced a hiatus in the time ahead, there could still be a chance for The Swell Season to continue to shine in the future. But for now they will continue to sell concert tickets with haste.
The Swell Season are an Irish-Czech group consisting of Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová and whilst they found fans all over the world thanks to the movie “Once” they had already been around since the year prior. During their career they have released songs such as “Falling Slowly”, “Into the Mystic”, “In These Arms”, “When Your Mind’s Made Up” and “Feeling the Pull”, amongst others, which have served to spread the word about their sound to music lovers everywhere, with high sales of rock tickets the obvious result.
And during this time they have also put together three stand-out albums, including the soundtrack to the movie “Once”, in which they also starred. Before that they released their debut album “The Swell Season” in 2006, with the movie soundtrack following in 2007, before their third album “Strict Joy” arrived in shops in 2010. So whilst there are plenty of folk acts around, from Josh Ritter to Glen Hansard’s band The Frames, The Swell Season have certainly proven to be an interesting choice for fans.
So this is the reason that concert tickets will be snapped up by The Swell Season fans as they take to the stage and demonstrate the charm and style found on their CDs is also evident in a live setting. It is here that their songs will be heard as they were meant to as they stand in front of their crowds and perform them live. It means that if you are a fan of The Swell Season, witnessing them in concert is a must.
