The Wombats Tickets

When The Wombats released their famous radio hit “Let’s Dance to Joy Division”, audiences around the country took notice of a band with plenty of energy and whose work demonstrates a clear indie rock sound. But they had already been around for some time before this, releasing albums and singles in Japan in the run up to what would be their first UK release in 2007.

Since then they have found fans across the country and when they return to the stage there will be plenty hoping to hear great renditions of tracks such as “Let’s Dance to Joy Division” and others.

And when they pick up indie rock tickets to observe them performing such tracks, they will be witnessing the likes of Matt Murphy as frontman alongside Tord Øverland-Knudsen on the bass guitar and Dan Haggis on the drums. In addition to the previously mentioned track there are plenty of songs from their back catalogue that they could bring to the stage, provided they make it onto the set-list, from “Kill the Director” and “Moving to New York” to “Is This Christmas?” and “Tokyo (Vampires & Wolves)”. So whilst there are bands out there such as Arctic Monkeys or Razorlight for audiences to witness live, The Wombats offer a unique experience of their own.

And their career has also seen them solidify this with the release of albums, two of which have emerged in the shops in the United Kingdom and a further two released before those that arrived in Japan. With UK audiences enjoying the likes of “The Wombats Proudly Present: A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation” and “Tokyo (Vampires & Wolves)”, those in the Japanese market have also been treated to “Girls, Boys and Marsupials” and “The Wombats Go Pop Pop Pop”. With such a background The Wombats have certainly embarked on a unique career and whilst this does not necessarily translate to high concert ticket sales, it will certainly provide them with plenty of fans in different countries.

And when they do take to the stage in the UK, fans will be hoping that their experiences of performing live around the world will translate to a well-put-together and enjoyable stage show; one that will leave them with some lasting memories.
