It means that audiences can expect great things as the years roll by and more festivals to continue to add to the abundance of choice already on offer, ensuring a great time for millions of music lovers way into the future.

Still in its relative infancy is the Latitude Festival, one of the biggest festivals of the summer season and one that has made a big name for itself in a short amount of time. It demonstrates the ability for the festival season to change over the years and come up with something fresh and new. The popularity of Latitude only serves to showcase how such ventures are well worth it.

With Latitude Festival tickets, audiences are not just getting the very best in musical entertainment, though the bands that grace the stage have included the likes of Pet Shop Boys, Arcade Fire and Franz Ferdinand, but also the best in theatre, art, comedy and more. The result is a weekend in which a wealth of entertainment is at your disposal; where seeing the best in music can be broken up by seeing the biggest name in comedy, literature, dance, cabaret and beyond. Whilst musicians have graced the big stages, comedians like Bill Bailey, Alan Carr, Phil Jupitus, Russell Howard, Dylan Moran, Lee Mack, Ross Noble, Lucy Porter, Frankie Boyle, Stewart Lee and more have appeared. Meanwhile, writers like Simon Armitage, Iain Banks and others have been amongst the literature crowd and the results have included the festival growing in size, popularity and reputation.

The last few years have seen some important names appear at Latitude, with 2008 featuring headliners Franz Ferdinand, Sigur Rós and Interpol appearing in the Obelisk Arena, whilst other acts included the likes of The Mars Volta, Tindersticks, Elbow, Death Cab for Cutie, Seasick Steve, Robin Ince, Russell Howard, Frankie Boyle, Russell Kane and more.

Then 2009 came along and audiences were able to listen to the likes of Pet Shop Boys, Gracey Jones and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, with other acts that included the likes of Doves, Editors, Thom Yorke, The Gossip, Django Django, Dave Gorman, Frank Skinner, Jo Brand, Ed Byrne, Andrew Motion and more.

So it is safe to say that Latitude Festival tickets give audiences something more than a simple summer music festival. The weekend has been compared to festivals on the continent, with a wide range of acts to choose from, resulting in a three-day experience that few events could get close to, let alone match. As the years go on, there is no telling what levels Latitude could reach, but there is no stopping it – that’s for sure.
