And it all comes from the Croissant Neuf – a creative team who have been operating since the 1980s. Beginning as a band and progressing to a full stage show that would be seen at locations across the United Kingdom, they now present their summer party – a chance for families to experience an array of things to see and do.
Since the show first appeared on the scene in 2007 it has featured a range of acts, from music to street performances and activities, with music acts in the first year including Dragonsfly, Banco De Gaia and Chris Moreton, amongst others, alongside artists and more. As the years have gone by, so have more acts and by 2009 the acts include the likes of Chris Jagger’s Atcha!, Steve Knightley, The Travelling Band, Bowjangles and a long list of others. So already it can be seen that it was attracting considerable names – something that continued in the new decade with the 2010 line-up including the likes of The Magic Numbers, Show of Hands, Andy Peat, Rankin Roger and Chick Shack.
The event takes place at a site in Monmouthshire near the village of Usk and it is a glorious setting for one of the most renowned family festivals to take place. So having already put on some great shows since 2007, the event may very well continue to attract considerable crowds in the future, whether to witness day events or to camp for the weekend.
