V Festival Tickets

Britain is home to some of the oldest and most famous festivals in the world and as a result it is no wonder that there are so many outdoor festivals to choose from, with some containing specialised genres and others expanding into realms of possibility. It means that whatever your music taste, there is likely to be a festival for you, whether it is a small folk festival in a local town or huge pop music festival with enormous stages and the most famous faces from the industry in attendance.

One of the most famous events in the summer is the V Festival, held annually over two days in August. Since 1996 it has been a staple of the festival season, showcasing a range of bands and acts across various stages. Its popularity rises with each passing year and as a result, fans will be fast to purchase V Festival tickets as soon as they go on sale, so that they can enjoy a music event with a great atmosphere.

V Festival is held across two sites, one at Hylands Park in Chelmsford and the other in Weston Park in South Staffordshire, with the line up alternating between the two on separate days. Recent years have seen the likes of The Killers, Fatboy Slim, Oasis, Keane, MGMT, Snow Patrol, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Pendulum, Razorlight, Lily Allen and more take to the stages, with the line up clearly demonstrating a range of talents.

This is something that has been true since the start, back in 1996 when Jarvis Cocker laid the foundations to the event. It started as a way for Pulp to play two outdoor gigs in two days and developed into a full size music event that swapped between two locations across one weekend. The line up this first year eventually developed into the likes of Pulp, Paul Weller, Supergrass, The Charlatans, Lightning Seeds, Gary Numan, The Cardigans, Super Furry Animals and more, with the years following introducing further stages, more sponsors and a host of big name acts.

In the years since, V Festival has hosted the likes of Blur, The Prodigy, The Verve, Manic Street Preachers, Suede, Massive Attack, Travis, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Muse, Stereophonics Coldplay, Pixies, Franz Ferdinand, Scissor Sisters, Radiohead and Foo Fighters. Meanwhile, the new decade begins with the likes of Kings of Leon and Cheryl Cole.

V Festival tickets are likely to be hot property and the result is a music event in which like-minded fans come together to enjoy a positive atmosphere boosted by some of the biggest names in music. As such it is likely to remain a staple part of the music calendar for some time to come.
