Whatever they choose, they are likely to be witnessing an array of bands over various stages and possibly over several days depending on the event at hand. But amongst the live acts and the other things to see and do, the festival season is also well known for offering one of the best atmospheres around, with like minded fans enjoying acts side by side.

Every year, the Wireless Festival takes place at Hyde Park in London, offering a wide range of big name acts across different days. It has regularly pushed the limits on the size of bands on offer, with previous years boasting line ups that have included New Order, Kasabian, The Strokes, the White Stripes, Jay Z, Fatboy Slim and Kanye West. It means that music lovers with Wireless Festival tickets heading towards Hyde Park in June or July (varies each year) are in for a memorable experience.

The festival first ran in 2005 in Hyde Park and in the years since it has grown in size and attracted further big name acts. It has appeared in the same place every year, but also took place at Harewood House in Leeds during 2006 and 2007, making it a consistently popular choice across the summer festival season.  Its first year saw New Order, Basement Jaxx and Keane headline a huge event and by the time 2006 rolled around the line up included The Strokes, David Gray, Massive Attack, James Blunt and Depeche Mode. With the event increasing in popularity, bigger names appeared at the festival in following years and at the same time more stages were added to give audiences more choice than ever. The result was a four-day event in 2008 that saw Jay Z, Morrissey, Fatboy Slim and Counting Crows headline an event that also included Mark Ronson and more.

The festival changes with each year and 2009 saw a slimlined version appear once again at Hyde Park, before the event was turned back into a 3 day event in 2010 as Pink, LCD Soundsystem and Jay-Z announced themselves as headliners. It shows that the festival is going to continue to attract large numbers of people for years to come.

Since 2005 it has been offering an unbeatable atmosphere amongst a multitude of bands and musicians and it stand alongside some of the biggest festivals as an important part of the music calendar.
