This metal band have released a number of concept albums over the years, all of which have contributed to their overall sound and given them a reputation for mixing styles and taking audiences on journeys through ‘The Amory Wars’ – a science fiction story that has been told throughout their releases. Their latest album filled in the gaps before the events of the first album, taking the form of a prequel to the series, and with songs like “Here We Are Juggernaut” and “The Broken”, they demonstrate they are still as unique and imaginative as ever.
Their live shows are also something to remember and one show that was of particular note was the “Neverender” show in 2008, a four-day concert in which they played all of their albums back to back – telling the entire story of ‘The Amory Wars’ up to that point. The prequel album takes the form of “Year of the Black Rainbow” in 2010, which fills fans in on the events before the debut album.
