Their heavy metal style has earned them an ongoing place in the spotlight and has also laid the foundations for a host of well known bands to follow in their footsteps, meaning that they easily remain popular in the modern day. The current line-up retains two of the well known members from the original team in 1976 in the forms of Biff Byford and Paul Quinn, vocalist and guitarist respectively, whilst further modern day members include Doug Scarratt, Nibbs Carter and Nigel Glockler. Along with former members such as Graham Oliver, Steve Dawson and others they have fans in the UK, the US and beyond thanks to songs such as “Wheels of Steel”, “And the Bands Played On”, “Motorcycle Man”, “Princess of the Night” and “I Can’t Wait Anymore”, amongst others. And as they have been around for many decades they also have a long list of studio albums to their name, beginning with 1979’s “Saxon” and progressing to various releases through the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. Their follow up was the famous “Wheels of Steel” in 1980 and over the years they added to these with “Power & The Glory” in 1983, “Solid Ball of Rock” in 1990, “Unleash the Beast” in 1997, “Lionheart” in 2004 and “Into the Labyrinth” in 2009, plus many more in between. It goes to show that is a wide range of Saxon material out there to feed into their live shows, making rock tickets highly worthwhile items.

After all, their live shows have been complimented by three decades-worth of touring, where they have accumulated a lot of experience and ensured that fans of their output remain satisfied with each new release and live appearance. So it is no wonder they have wowed audiences all over the world.
