Having formed almost thirty years ago, Asia return to the stage with the original line-up to put on what is likely to be a stand out show of pure rock prowess. Made up of a recognisable line-up of musicians, plucked from various other prog rock outfits, Asia have always managed to make an impression.
In the modern day their experiences will undoubtedly combine into a great live rock experience. So getting hold of concert tickets to witness Asia take to the stage is a must as they prove once again that they have what it takes to impress on a large scale.
As they contain so many members from other rock bands, such as King Crimson and Yes, Asia stand up as a supergroup alongside other examples such as Bad Company and Crosby, Stills and Nash, making them enormously popular. So as Geoff Downes (Yes), John Wetton (King Crimson), Steve Howe (Yes) and Carl Palmer (Emerson, Lake & Palmer) take to the stage, fans will anticipate the possibility of hearing songs such as “Only Time Will Tell”, “Don’t Cry” and “What About Love”, amongst others, in a live setting. After all, this is the best way of experiencing glorious rock classics such as these.
And then there are their others songs, which are found on the long-list of studio albums that have emerged over the last few decades. These range from early releases like “Asia”, “Alpha” and “Astra” in the 1980s to further releases like “Aqua”, “Aria” and “Rare” in the 1990s. Then, over the last decade they have continued to release albums under the titles “Aura” in 2001, “Silent Nation” in 2004, “Phoenix” in 2008 and “Omega” in 2010. Whilst some of these have included different line-ups (today, the band Asia Featuring John Payne is another incarnation of the group), they have proven to be popular additions to their back catalogue.
So make sure you pick up rock tickets to witness Asia in a live setting as their live shows truly come to life. They have been around for so many decades it would be hard not to imagine them putting on a stand-out show that will be both spectacular and nostalgic at the same time. It is also the best place to truly appreciate the work of Asia.
