Don McLean Tickets

It means that he has plenty of songs up his sleeves, making Don McLean tickets must-have items when they go on sale. Alongside the song “American Pie”, he has also released well known tracks like “And I Love You So”, “Castles in the Air”, “Vincent”, “Superman Ghost”, “The Grave” and “Wonderful Baby”. It makes him an unbeatable artist and someone who is capable of adding layers of depth to his outings far beyond the abilities of his contemporaries. It also makes him a highly popular musician and Don McLean tickets are certain to be a worthwhile endeavour for anyone who wants to hear some legendary songs.

McLean has been a fan of music since his teenage years back in the 1950s, during which time he became focused on his musical passion rather than his studies and eventually would become associated with people within the music industry. After dropping out of University he began to perform in venues in the US under his new agent Harold Leventhal, eventually beginning work on his debut album and recording it in 1969. This album, “Tapestry”, would not be released until 1970, with various record companies rejecting it to begin with. However, it was eventually released by a small label and in time (and with that label being taken over by a larger one) his music began to pick up many fans.

It meant he could go on to release further records, with “American Pie” appearing on the album of the same name in 1971. The song is somewhat inspired by the deaths of Buddy Holly and co. in a 1959 air crash, with lyrics that relate directly to this event. He followed the album up with “Don McLean” in 1972 and over the next few decades released “Playin’ Favorites” (1973), “Homeless Brother” (1974), “Prime Time” (1977), “Chain Lightning” (1978), “Believers” (1981), “Love Tracks” (1987), “Headroom” (1990) and “Christmas” (1991). Over the years McLean has continued to release records into the charts and most recently released “Addicted to Black” in 2009.

Whilst McLean’s highest selling album remains “American Pie”, his stage shows have been consistently popular over his career, appearing in major concerts around the world, from stages such as the Carnegie Hall in New York to the Royal Albert Hall in London. His stage shows have become legendary and proof of an artist who has remained at the top of his game. So make sure you get your Don McLean tickets as soon as possible.
