They have been around for many decades now and yet Magnum continue to draw in the fans to their live shows up and down the country. With this in mind, audiences can expect huge demand for concert tickets as they embark on their latest run of live shows, effortlessly displaying the skills necessary to put on a great show and demonstrating the power of their live sound.
From the abundance of studio albums under their belt to the singles that have made it into the charts they have embarked on a long adventure in the spotlight and continue to prove that they are still a worthy part of the UK rock scene.
Magnum retain two original members from the first line-up in the forms of Bob Catley (vocalist) and Tony Clarkin (guitarist) and in the modern day they are joined by Al Barrow, Harry James and Mark Stanway. Together they have at their disposal the musical output of a band that has been releasing material from the 1970s, meaning that they could perform live versions of anything from “Invasion”, “The Light Burned Out” and “Midnight (You Won’t be Sleeping)” to “The Tall Ships” and “Like Brothers We Stand”. Whether or not these specific songs make it onto the set list, there is no doubting that rock tickets will deliver a memorable show.
But then, there are so many songs to choose from and many of them are found on their albums, of which they have released many between 1978 and the modern day. Their debut was “The Kingdom of Madness” and they would follow it up with “Magnum II” in 1979 and their most famous work “Chase the Dragon” in 1982. Further releases include “Vigilante” in 1986, “Sleepwalking” in 1992, “Rock Art” in 1994, “Breath of Life” in 2002 and “Into the Valley of the Moonking” in 2009, with “The Visitation” beginning the new decade in 2011.
So Magnum have come a long way and stand up alongside the likes of Asia as a band that still managed to find a sizable audience even after many decades in the business. This is why we can expect further hits down the line and why, whenever they release live rock and pop tickets, there will be a high demand to see them take to the stage.
