The current team that take to the stage as New York Dolls includes two of the original members in the forms of David Johansen and Sylvain Sylvain. Today they are joined by Brian Delaney on the drums, Sami Yaffa on the bass guitar and Steve Conte on the guitar. New York Dolls are one of those rare bands to have an enormous influence despite a limited number of releases (compared to the amount of years since they first formed), but the high quality of their output has ensured that their popularity has never wavered. In fact, if the record sales of their latest albums are anything to go by, their popularity has increased.
