They still regard him with great admirations after putting out high quality work since the 1960s. This began with Pink Floyd and from the mid 1980s continued with the solo work that maintains his career to this day. So when he announces new shows across the country, there will be plenty of people clamouring to get hold of concert tickets whilst they are still available.

His full name is George Roger Waters and alongside the likes of Syd Barrett, Nick Mason, Richard Wright and David Gilmour he was a part of the influential and highly acclaimed Pink Floyd, responsible for albums such as “The Dark Side of the Moon” and “Wish You Were Here”, amongst others, in addition to songs such as “Another Brick in the Wall (Parts 1 & 2)”, “Money” and “Us and Them”. But from the mid 1980s Roger Waters left the group that he had founded alongside Barrett and embarked on a solo career, spawning his own singles in the forms of “Sunset Strip”, “What God Wants Part One” and “Hello (I Love You)”. With such a legendary back catalogue of work, rock tickets to witness Roger Waters regularly sell well when they are on sale.

And this is also thanks to the studio albums that he has released, spanning from his first in 1970 (“Music from The Body”) and then his first following the departure from Floyd – “the Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking” in 1984, to other releases like “Radio KAOS” in 1987, “Amused to Death” in 1992, “In the Flesh – Live” in 2002 and “Ça Ira” (an opera) in 2005. So witnessing him live is a must has it gives audiences access to a musician who was there through Pink Floyd’s classic albums, plus his own stand-out work.

It shows that whilst Pink Floyd is still celebrated by tribute bands like The Australian Pink Floyd and The British Pink Floyd Show, some of the artists that entertained us at the time are still around to perform live onstage, where they will undoubtedly show other musicians how it is done.

After all, when it comes to Roger Waters, even after 45 years in the industry, or 25 as a solo artist, he maintains a large and dedicated fan base, which continues to flock to witness him take to the stage and perform the classic tracks that make up his back catalogue. If you are a fan of Pink Floyd, or of his solo output, you will not want to miss out when music tickets go on sale.
