As the backing band for Johnny Cash, the Tennessee Three have performed on worldwide stages as far back as the 1950s and are still performing together to this day, returning to the stage soon to present fans with some glorious renditions of their songs.
Tennessee Three tickets therefore give audiences the chance to see a group of musicians who have been an integral part of the music scene for well over half a decade and as such, their shows should not be missed.
Currently, the Tennessee Three is operating with Bob Wootton remaining from the original team, with Rodney Blake Powell taking on the duties of drummer and performing alongside Vicky Wootton, Scarlett Wootton and Lisa Horngren. Together they are capable of putting on a great show for the fans, who would have loved to have seen them perform alongside the original line up back in the 1950s. Back then they would have seen the legendary Man in Black Johnny Cash, as well as the likes of Marshall Grant, Luther Perkins, Carl Perkins and more.
They started out life as the Tennessee Two, though at this point it consisted of Luther Perkins and Marshall Grant and they performed as Johnny Cash and the Tennessee Two, before becoming the Tennessee Three with the addition of the drummer W S Holland. Bob Wootton would join the group in 1968 as the guitarist and has remained to the present day, featuring on the recording “The Tennessee Three: The Sound Behind Johnny Cash” and appearing on stages around the world.
In the last decade, the Tennessee Three have maintained a grip on the music scene by releasing the tribute album to Johnny Cash entitled “The Sound Must Go On” after the iconic performer died in 2003. Then throughout the years they continued to tour and perform, attracting eager crowds who wish to experience the sound behind the Man in Black.
When the Tennesee Three tickets go on sale, it will be a chance to music fans to take a trip down memory lane for some classic songs performed by the very band that stood in the limelight. It means that they should not be missed, with the live experience providing audiences with lasting memories.
