Everyone remembers the British rock band Dire Straits, who entertained audiences between 1977 and 1995, after all they are responsible for classic songs like “Money for Nothing” and “Romeo & Juliet”, among others, and in that time built up a massive fan base.
They have been away for the scene for well over a decade now and in that time a full reunion has been off the cards. But now, thanks to a special one-off charity event at the Royal Albert Hall, former members of the band head to the stage alongside special guests to entertain the fans. So Dire Straits fans will want to pick up The Straits concert tickets whilst they have the chance to hear some of the classics in a live setting.
Dire Straits consisted of Mark Knopfler, Pick Withers, John Illsley and Ed Bicknell during its time in the spotlight and whilst Knopfler will not be returning for the concert, other members will – along with the likes of Alan Clark, Chris White, Phil Palmer, Steve Ferrone, Mick Feat, Terence Reis and Jamie Squire. Raising money for The Lord’s Taverners – the official recreational Cricket charity, which provides cricket to some poorer areas of society – The Straits at the Royal Albert Hall will be a very special event for those lucky enough to get hold of rock tickets before it is too late.
