The famous American rock band Toto re-unite and head back to the UK where they will prove to their British fans that they are still a hard-working and impressive musical force. Ever since the 70s they have had a huge following and this has served them well on countless world tours, the release of studio albums and with the songs that they have put together to great acclaim.
The result is a band that knows how to impress and as they return to the stage you can be certain that concert tickets are going to be in high demand, with their live show proving as spectacular as ever.
The original line-up of Toto included David Paich as vocalist and keyboardist alongside Steve Lukather, Bobby Kimball, Steve Porcaro, David Hungate and Jeff Porcaro. However, over the years this changed so that Steve Porcaro, David Hungate and Jeff Porcaro were replaced by Mike Porcaro, Simon Phillips and Greg Phillinganes. But through the various line-ups they managed to make an impression with stand-out songs such as “Hold the Line”, “Rosanna”, “Africa”, “I Won’t Hold You Back” and “Stranger in Town”, amongst others. These and more made rock tickets for their shows enormously valuable items.
But the studio albums that they released served the same purpose, delivering a wealth of further tracks to fans between 1978 and 2006. Their debut record was the self-titled “Toto” in 1978 and this led to “Hydra” in 1979, “Isolation” in 1984, “The Seventh One” in 1988, “Kingdom of Desire” in 1992, “Through the Looking Glass” in 2002 and “Falling In” in 2006. Such releases have sold in the tens of millions around the world and ensured that the musicians involved have received much-deserved recognition as a result, whilst members such as Steve Lukather have also enjoyed successful solo careers.
And live onstage they will prove that this success has served them well, allowing them to tour all over the world and hone their skills as a result, meaning that any time that they return to the stage they will be delivering a huge show for audiences to relish in. Nothing will beat hearing songs like “Africa” in a live setting where they belong and this will ensure that Toto fans enjoy an unbeatable experience. It is a great time to be a fan of classic rock fans after all, with the likes of Asia and Journey continuing to perform live, and it is likely we will continue to see some stand-out concerts emerging in the future.
Since the 1970s there have been enormous numbers of people flocking to Toto shows and this is a testament to their enduring popularity that continues to deliver. With world tours, acclaimed albums and popular singles under their belt Toto will continue to find an abundance of fans well into the future.
