Amy Macdonald 'surprised by own success'
Singer Amy Macdonald is certainly humble when it comes to discussing her own success, as she admitted it has taken her by surprise.
The Scottish performer told BBC News that she and her band often feel they cannot believe the position they have found themselves in following the release of her debut album This Is the Life.
After selling three million albums in Europe and enjoying huge success in Germany and Switzerland, she is preparing to release her new record A Curious Thing, but does not take her career for granted.
"I'm very privileged to be in this position," the 23-year-old told the news source.
She added that she is a huge fan of Top Gear and would love to take part in the programme, as she has always been excited by fast cars.
Fans of Macdonald can hear her perform some of her new tracks on her Love Love tour next month, which kicks off in Manchester's Apollo on October 19th.
