Clybourne Park to make West End transfer
Fans of the hit play Clybourne Park will have the chance to catch it on the West End stage after its move to theatreland was announced.
The satirical play, which has so far been performed to sell-out crowds at the Royal Court, will be performed at the Wyndham's Theatre from January.
Revolving around the story of a house in Chicago that was sold in 1959 and again in 2009, the period piece from director Dominic Cooke has received rave reviews in the press.
However, members of the audience who wish to see Martin Freeman, who is well-known for his role in The Office and the recent BBC adaptation of Sherlock Holmes, may be left disappointed as the star is unable to resume his part due to prior commitments.
The rest of the existing cast will move to the new theatre when the play begins again on January 28th 2011, with Sophie Thompson, who played Stella Crawford in EastEnders, among the well-known names on stage.
