Duran Duran Announce New Show at O2’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire
The Famous 1980s Pop Band Reveal Details of Their Latest Trip to the Stage
It has been announced that Duran Duran will be taking to the stage in London ahead of their tour of the United Kingdom’s arenas. The pop-stars, famous for classic hit such as “A View to a Kill” and “Ordinary World”, will be stopping of at Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Monday 7th March 2011.
With their Arena show arriving two months later, fans will undoubtedly be flocking to witness the band take to the stage in a relatively smaller venue – after all they are still regarded as one of the most successful bands of their era. They play Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena on Wednesday 18th May 2011, followed by Glasgow’s SECC on Thursday 19th May 2011, plus further dates to make up 11 evenings in which followers will relish in 80s and 90s chart hits.
Duran Duran remain famous as one of the best known bands of the 1980s, emerging with songs such as the mentioned “A View to a Kill” and “Ordinary World”, in addition to tracks such as “The Reflex” and “Is There Something I Should Know?” Their career saw them release albums such as “Duran Duran” in 1981, “Rio” in 1982” and “Big Thing” in 1988. In recent years they have been in the spotlight once again thanks to relatively recent releases such as “Astronaut” in 2004 and “Red Carpet Massacre” in 2007.
Band members Simon Le Bon, John Taylor, Nick Rhodes and Roger Taylor are likely to attract an abundance of fans to venues across the country as part of the tour, with concert tickets becoming available from the end of February.
With their 2011 arena tour arriving soon, fans can catch Duran Duran at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Monday 7th March 2011.
