Original Beach Boys 'may tour'
Beach Boys tickets are likely to be snapped up if the band announces that the surviving members of its classic line-up are getting back together.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, band member Al Jardine suggested that the founders of the legendary group may reunite for a tour to mark their 50 years in the music business.
He revealed that a one-off show is already being planned, but admitted that he would love to do 100 dates around the world.
The Beach Boys rose to prominence in the 1960s with hits such as I Get Around, Fun Fun Fun, California Girls and Surfin' USA.
They later received huge acclaim with their pioneering Pet Sounds LP, which features some of bass player Brian Wilson's finest and most seminal compositions, as well as innovative production techniques that influenced the likes of The Beatles.
Wilson later retired from the road because of mental health issues, but has since forged a comeback as a successful solo artist.
