Paul Weller nominated for Mercury Prize
Concert tickets for Paul Weller's shows may be selling even faster now after the artist was nominated for the Barclaycard Mercury Prize. The veteran musician has picked up the second nomination of his career for the prestigious award with his latest release Wake Up The Nation.
It follows on from his first nod back in 1994, when his recording Wild Wood was up for the £20,000 music prize, with this year's triumphant act to be announced on September 7th.
Up against new and established acts ranging from I Am Kloot to Laura Marling and Dizzee Rascal, who is nominated for the third time, devotees of the former Style Council and The Jam frontman may be eager for him to scoop the coveted prize.
Fans can get tickets now to see Weller on tour at venues around the country later this year, with stops in Brighton, Glasgow and Blackpool all scheduled for dates in November and December.
