Ray Quinn to extend role in Dirty Dancing
Ray Quinn is to continue in the part of Billy Kostecki in the West End production of Dirty Dancing until May 2011.
The former X Factor contestant has been in the role of Johnny Castle's cousin since July 2010 and was scheduled to complete his run on November 27th.
However, due to public demand, the producers of the show have announced the Dancing on Ice winner will continue performing at the Aldwych Theatre until May 28th 2011.
Quinn will take a short break from the role over Christmas as he is due to star in a panto, taking on the lead role in the Northampton Royal & Derngate production of Jack and The Beanstalk from December 10th to January 9th .
He will be replaced by Will Breckin before returning to the London stage on January 17th.
In August, Quinn told Sky News that it was a dream come true for him to act in the West End and did not think his life would now be any different had he won X Factor.
