Susan Boyle to sing for the Pope
Susan Boyle is set to perform a concert for the Pope when he visits the UK later this year.
The Scottish performer, who shot the global fame overnight after appearing on Britain's Got Talent, has been asked to sing to the pontiff when he visits Glasgow as part of his British tour.
Well-known for her strong faith, the religious star said that she is humbled to have the opportunity to sing to the leader of the Catholic church.
"To be able to sing for the Pope is a great honour and something I've always dreamed of - it's indescribable," the 49-year-old said.
Boyle is set to perform three songs for the Pope on September 16th when he performs mass in the Scottish city.
They will be I Dreamed A Dream, the hymn How Great Thou Art and a another song that has not yet been revealed.
Both of her tracks were included on her debut album, which reached the top spot in both the UK and American album charts.
