Tomasz Kuszczak 'desperate to impress in Manchester United games'
Sports fans heading to Manchester United games this season will see reserve keeper Tomasz Kuszczak giving his all if he is handed a chance to play.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, the Poland international revealed that he has spoken to club boss Sir Alex Ferguson about his prospects of replacing Edwin van der Sar between the sticks when the Dutch veteran retires at the end of the season.
The Scottish coach has not given a definite answer about what will happen in the future, but Kuszczak knows he must play well when he is given the chance to start for the Red Devils.
"I know I have not got the biggest name in the world but - and I don't want this to sound arrogant - I think I am good enough," the goalkeeper remarked.
Sports enthusiasts attending Manchester United games will currently see a team in form, with the side topping the Premier League by two points and two games in hand.
