The Japanese Grand Prix first appeared as part of the Formula One season in 1976, with the race that year well remembered for the Championship battle that took place within monsoon conditions. The event was held on the Fuji Speedway in these early days, returning in 1977 before disappearing from the calendar for a decade. It would re-emerge on the Suzuka Circuit, where it has been held on many occasions right up to the modern day, with 2008 and 2007 being recent years in which the Fuji Speedway hosted the event once again. Spectators look forward to the event, knowing that its placement means that the drivers’ championship can be decided here, if not strengthened or weakened. It makes for an exciting battle for first place.

There have been many winners at the Japanese Grand Prix, with Michael Schumacher holding the record for most wins (six in total), with other contenders including Ayrton Senna and Damon Hill. Recent years have seen many drivers take pride of place on the podium, with Michael Schumacher dominating the early part of the last decade, whilst other winners have included Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton, Kimi Räikkönen and Rubens Barichello.

So make sure you get hold of Japanese Grand Prix tickets as soon as possible. Doing so gives you access to one of the most exciting events on the F1 calendar as the high speed Formula One cars go head to head for first place. With a spectacular race, plenty to do and an unbeatable atmosphere, it is well worth it.
