The Criterion Theatre  is another West End theatre to feature less than 1,000 seats, which over positioned over 3 levels: Stalls, Dress Circle and Upper Circle. The Stalls stretch back from the stage from rows A to S, with a maximum of 24 seats across. The Dress Circle stretches back from rows A to G with 27 seats across and the Upper Circle stretches back from rows A to C with a maximum of 27 seats across (and a gap between seats 15 and 16). This amounts to a total of 588 seats on 3 levels.

When standing in the foyer, there are 25 steps leading down to where the auditorium can be accessed. From here, 51 steps lead down to the Stalls, whilst 32 steps lead down to the Dress Circle and 6 steps lead up to the Upper Circle.
