Directions
Take the Northern or Bakerloo line to Waterloo station. The theatre is a 10 minute walk.
The Olivier stage of the National Theatre has a more unusual layout than other venues in town with two levels arcing in a semi-circle around the stage with the Stalls nearest the stage and the circle above it. The Stalls feature rows stretching from A to R in this formation, with the rows featuring a maximum of 59 seats across. The Circle features rows A to G with a maximum of 83 seats across. This makes more a total of 1,160 seats on 2 levels.
Within the National Theatre the Box Office for the Olivier is on level 2 from the main entrance. From here the Stalls are level with the Box Office but 10 steps must be traversed to get to sections raised from this level. A lift grants patrons with access to the Circle, which goes to row G, where steps can be utilised to get to other rows.
