Barbra And Frank

The 20th century managed to produce an array of memorable artists who blessed stages around the world with their presence, whilst also managing to produce a memorable screen career as well. But amongst the big names there are two that would have made an impressive duo onstage and whilst that never happened, a new show arriving at the New Players Theatre in November will attempt to go some way in rectifying that. “Barbra and Frank – The Concert That Never Was” features two tribute artists in the forms of Sharon Owens and Sebastian Anzaldo, who take on the parts of Barbra Streisand and Frank Sinatra. Having already wowed audiences around the world, it is now time for crowds in London to see what all the fuss is about.

Located at the Arches in the City of London, near Heaven night club, the New Players Theatre will provide a wonderful location to witness two globally renowned impersonators take to the stage and show audiences what they have missed out on during a century in which Streisand and Sinatra never met onstage. And with Owens and Anzaldo it will be a real treat to the senses as they not only sound the part, but also look the part, undoubtedly meaning that audiences worldwide cannot believe their eyes.

Barbra Streisand, of course, is known as one of them most famous and successful female singers in the world, having sold an abundance of albums and singles around the world on top of a career that has also seen her appear on the silver screen. Her countless credits have earned her millions of fans and whilst her career shares many similarities with Sinatra’s the pair never appeared onstage together.

Sinatra’s career has been equally as impressive, with a remarkable back catalogue of hits, in addition to his movie roles and singing career with the Rap Pack. There is no-one in the world who hasn’t heard of Frank Sinatra and this is a testament to his enduring appeal as an internationally renowned artist.
Sharon Owens and Sebastian Anzaldo will bring these icons together having already wowed audiences in Las Vegas and in locations around the world and when they bring the spectacle to the New Players Theatre it is certain to be a memorable show.

Barbra and Frank – The Concert That Never Was is at the New Players Theatre from Wednesday 24th November 2010 to Saturday 18th December 2010.
