London’s capital is already the home to fantastic musicals that showcase the best hits of some of the world’s biggest recording artists, from Michael Jackson in Thriller Live to ABBA in Mamma Mia!, and now 2017 brings us the latest must-see in Bat Out Of Hell, a celebration of the Meat Loaf albums of the same name.

Jim Steinman, who collaborated on the Bat Out Of Hell albums with Meat Loaf, is behind this new musical project, which plays at the London Coliseum in the summer of 2017, and it features songs from Bat Out Of Hell, Bat Out Of Hell II: Back Into Hell and Bat Out Of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose.

The show’s story is set to take us to a post-apocalyptic wasteland where we meet the characters of Strat and Falco, the former falling love with Falco’s daughter despite the inherent dangers of falling for the daughter of a despot. Along the way we experience numerous renditions of Meat Loaf/Steinman songs that will make the West End the best place to be for rock ‘n’ roll fans.

Steinmen has collaborated with numerous artists over the years, from Meat Loaf to Bonnie Tyler and also contributed to films like Shrek 2, making him a highly experienced and much-admired composer whose work has had a big effect on artists in the years since he first emerged.

But his work with Meat Loaf, in particular the Bat Out Of Hell albums, have ensured his legacy and as this production now heads to the stage, sporting songs like You Took The Words Right Outta My Mouth and Dead Ringer For Love, audiences in London will now get to experience his work first hand.

Bat Out Of Hell runs at the London Coliseum in the summer of 2017.
