The Neander Physical Theatre Company presents Blam! at the Peacock Theatre, a show where an imaginary game in the workplace turns into spectacle on the stage. Directed by the talented Kristján Ingimarsson, the show is set to wow audiences at the West End venue from October 2013.
The workers of a 9 to 5 job realise that their workplace is too dull with which to continue and something must be done! So they invent Blam! – a game that takes every corner of the imagination to realise, turning the ordinary, real, world upside down. The result is a show that features an array of spectacular feats with physical performance utilised to present a world of superheroes, movie villains and beings from another world. Along the way those with theatre tickets will witness some breathtaking stunts, including parkour, and ensure that they have plenty to remember.
Kristján Ingimarsson is a multi-talented Icelandic artist who founded the Neander Theatre Company in 1998 and has spent many years working as a performer and director. With Blam! he has put together something truly special and it lands at the Peacock Theatre on the back of a summer run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
The Peacock Theatre, of course, is the West End outlet of Sadler’s Wells and regularly presents West End audiences with impressive international dance. It welcomes Blam! in the same year that Sadler’s Wells itself is presenting Made In Germany and the LA Dance Project, among others.
It runs at the venue from Tuesday 22nd October 2013.
