The Lyric Theatre, regularly the home to the popular Michael Jackson celebration Thriller Live, puts aside the King of Pop for one night in early February to welcome a performance from the well known US performer Curtis Stigers. In promotion of his latest album he will showcase an array of songs for his adoring fans and remind audiences how he has enjoyed such a successful career as a singer, saxophonist and guitarist since he first emerged in the early 1990s.
His current album is Hooray For Love, released last year, and it features some great tracks that will undoubtedly sound even better on stage. Hooray For Love is the latest in a long line of albums that began with the self-titled Curtis Stigers in 1991 and progressed with albums like Time Was in 1995, Brighter Days in 1999, Baby Plays Around in 2001, I Think It’s Going To Rain Today in 2005 and Let’s Go Out Tonight in 2012, among many others. Along the way he has also made his way into the singles charts with releases like I Wonder Why and This Time, to name but a few. Expect to hear old hits and new as he takes to the Lyric Theatre.
The performer heads to the West End in a year that also welcomes an array of other solo musicians and personalities, from Bruce Forsyth to Joe Longthorne, both of whom make appearances at the London Palladium in May.
Audiences can catch Curtis Stigers at the Lyric Theatre on Monday 2nd February 2015.
