Facing East in Concert

Age Restriction: Suitabel fro ages 12+.

Appearing in London for one-night only prior to a planned full-staging next year, Facing East makes its way to the Lyric Theatre to provide audiences with a compelling and emotionally charged musical that features a stellar cast and memorable score.

The story focuses on a grieving American Mormon couple, whose son has died and his death forces them to face a part of his life they had managed to ignore. Their son was gay and after his passing they meet his partner, with whom they must find solace before they can accept their loss.

One of the performers appearing in the production is former We Will Rock You star Alasdair Harvey, who has also appeared in a wealth of other musical theatre productions, including Sunday In The Park With George at the Wyndham’s Theatre, Forbidden Broadway at the Menier Chocolate Factory and Beauty And The Beast at the Dominion Theatre, to name but a few. He has also made an impression on television viewers with roles in the likes of EastEnders and Casualty, among others.

His co-stars for Facing East include Peter DiCesare, Rebecca Lock and Michael Vinsen, whilst Harriet Thorpe narrates. The musical is from David Rigano & Mark-Eugene Garcia and is based on the play by Carol Lynn Pearson.

During a night in the week in which Thriller Live is not performing Facing East In Concert plays at the Lyric Theatre on Monday 22nd June 2015.
