The Edinburgh Playhouse Theatre welcomes the hit West End show Ghost The Musical in 2013, which allows those with theatre tickets in the Scottish capital the opportunity of seeing a show that took London by storm. Based on the movie of the same name, which saw Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg appear onscreen together, the show is a supernatural love story that features some amazing effects and some wonderful songs.
As a result, when it lands at the Edinburgh Playhouse audiences are going to want to get in line fast. The plot focuses on the young couple Sam and Molly whose relationship comes to a terrifying end when Sam is killed at the hands of a mugger, leaving Molly to grieve alone. But Sam has not passed on and instead is walking the Earth as a ghost, so when Molly comes under danger of the same fate he employs the help of a phoney psychic – Oda Mae Brown – to communicate with her beyond the grave.
In a year that also brings shows such as The Lion King to the Edinburgh Playhouse, Ghost The Musical will enjoy a run at the venue that begins on Tuesday 14th May 2013.
