Guys And Dolls, the classic stage musical from Frank Loesser, Joe Sweling and Abe Burrows remains in the West End in 2016, continuing to offer unbeatable opportunities for its fans to revisit the iconic story. Having already wowed audiences at the Savoy Theatre it now transfers to the Phoenix Theatre.
It’s not the first time the show has been transferred, having already transitioned from the Chichester Festival Theatre, a venue that has regularly provided the West End with hit show, making it a great place to look for future West End hits. On this occasion it does so with a fantastic and iconic musical starring some of the capital’s most renowned performers, whilst a talented team works behind the scenes to bring it to life.
The story focuses on the exploits of prohibition-era con-man Nathan Detroit, who has many predicaments at the start of the show, from financial crises to his engagement to Miss Adelaide that is yet to turn into a marriage, and it is going to take some interesting characters to help him out. Sky Masterson, a gambler, and Sarah, a missionary with the Salvation Army, enter the scene and the former puts together a wager that Nathan hopes will pay out.
Along the way we hear stand-out musical numbers like If I Were A Bell, Adelaide’s Lament and Luck Be A Lady, amongst others.

As crowds continue to hum the tunes and witness Nathan Detroit’s journey it has endured around the world and this is certain to be a factor in its ongoing success in the West End as well.
