The Other Palace, one of the capital’s newest venues, continues to present some exciting and memorable shows and this summer that tradition brings the new musical from Timothy Knapman and Stuart Matthew Price. The National Youth Music Theatre presents Imaginary, a show that will put smiles on faces as audiences are taken on a compelling and heart-warming journey.

The story focuses on Sam as he starts secondary school and the challenges that he faces in retaining his friend Milo as he heads into this new chapter of his life. Imaginary has many surprises in store, with Sam’s parents’ concern for this relationship and the challenges that a new school brings all emerging during the course of the show.

The musical production has a book by Timothy Knapman (who also provides lyrics with musician Stuart Matthew Price). Knapman is known not only for penning plays and musicals but also for writing numerous children’s books, which have allowed his reputation to flourish during his career. His books include Rockabye Pirates and The Winter Fox, amongst many others.

And as this is a production of the National Youth Music Theatre there is bound to be abundant talent on display as this was the stomping ground for some of the nation’s most renowned stars.

Imaginary runs at the Other Palace from Wednesday 9th August 2017.
