A show that made its mark on the Edinburgh Festival Fringe back in August now makes its way to the West End for a brief appearance at Trafalgar Studios 2 over Christmas and New Year. It will provide London theatregoers with the opportunity to celebrate the work of Julie Andrews – just as Liza Minnelli fans had the same chance with their icon with LIZA (On An E) – whilst relishing in the performance of talented actress Sarah-Louise Young.
The show will see Young perform an array of songs made famous by Andrews in her high profile musicals like Mary Poppins and others. So this wonderful celebration of the star of The Sound Of Music should provide plenty of thrills for fans and newcomers alike as Young also delves into her life, from her childhood to big success and the modern day.
Julie Madly Deeply, which also appeared at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for one performance in August, is directed by Russell Lucas and also features the work of musical director Michael Roulston.
Sarah-Louise Young is a talented performer who was Once a member of the high profile group Fascinating Aïda (who appeared at the Charing Cross Theatre in 2011 with Young as part of the show). But this is not the only time audiences have seen her London, with work with The Long Shakespeare Workout among her credits as well. Young has also taken to the screen, which means those that pick up theatre tickets may recognise her from anything like Holby City and Casualty, among others.
