Kings of Broadway

Important Info: Includes one 20 minute interval.

Fans of musical theatre will be able to get their fix of some of the greatest composers of the field this November as the one-off show Kings Of Broadway is performed at the Palace Theatre. It will be an opportunity to witness some of the fantastic songs that have entertained the crowds for decades under one roof and in one evening – not something that a musical theatre fan will want to miss out on.

The three composers that will be the focus of Kings Of Broadway are Stephen Sondheim, Jerry Herman and Jule Styne, three towering figures of Broadway’s musical theatre scene and whose work continues to inspire and astound.

It means that audiences can hear, thanks to conductor Alex Parker, songs from Sondheim shows like Sunday In The Park With George and Company, Herman shows like La Cage Aux Folles and Hello Dolly, and Styne productions like Gypsy and Funny Girl, plus many others.

It’s a great year for one-off shows that celebrate the kinds of productions that put Broadway and the West End on the map – with X-Factor star Sam Bailey set to hit the West End in 2015 with a show that does just that. But on top of that, crowds can see Kings Of Broadway at the Palace Theatre on Sunday 29th November 2015.
